The desert gateway Rissani is a small town at the end of the road leading from Marrakech and through the Ziz Valley. Mostly made of sand and stone Rissani lies in a touristic area where you especially can visit the Sikilmassa ruins and the Zawaiya Moulay Ali ash Sharif tomb before entering the Sahara desert.
